    Turn off your vehicle and keep the key fob at least 35 feet away. This prevents the key fob from triggering the ECU, ensuring a complete electrical shutdown.

    Locate the pedal position sensor (usually behind or at the top of the gas pedal assembly) and unplug the factory connector.
